Scotland - North Coast 500 & Highlands

This trip is not for the faint of heart – but for true adventurers with petrol in their veins. From Luxembourg, we head for Amsterdam, where the overnight ferry to Newcastle awaits – sea breeze included, salt in the hair on offer.

As soon as we set foot on British soil, it was drive on the left and wonder on the right! Over rolling hills and low stone walls, we head straight for Scotland, where the Highlands are already beckoning with their dramatic landscapes and winding roads that would make a motorcyclist weep with joy.

Loch Ness, Ben Nevis, the wild shores of the North Coast 500 – here, every bend is a postcard in the making. Between nonchalant sheep, narrow roads and sheer cliffs, you may lose the network… but never the smile under the helmet. In the evening, cosy hotels, hearty pub grub and good whisky to keep the adventurer hydrated.

We finish off with a little city tour in Edinburgh before heading back down to Newcastle, where the ferry takes us back to the continent. And if you’re not madly in love with Scotland by the time you get off the bike… you’re probably on the wrong trip.
